Beginning your career is exciting, but with the lack of experience and knowledge about the desired field, it can be challenging to find your first job. By establishing internship programs, Noction helps interns to develop crucial technical skills and other industry-related abilities. As a result, by the time they complete their internships, they possess the knowledge, skills, and experience we look for in entry-level candidates and get an offer from the company.
We asked Mihai Plamadeala – a recent successful internship graduate who continues his journey with Noction as a Front-End Developer, to share some feedback about his trainee experience.
As a student with little experience in the IT domain, I was looking for challenges and opportunities in different fields. I didn’t know what the beginning of my career would look like. So, I was monitoring the career pages of IT Companies which met my criteria – a renowned company with 5+ years of experience with well-settled business processes. One day I saw the announcement about the paid Front-End internship at the Noction website and dared to send my CV. And here I am!
The main benefit for me was the support of experienced mentors throughout the whole internship period. I was learning from the best professionals in the field, who have many international projects in the background. Mentors set tasks, reviewed my approaches to dealing with them, and suggested more effective problem-solving methods. Detailed feedback with the indication of the growth points helped a lot in my professional development. I am now convinced that mentorship is one of the best ways to acquire new skills and knowledge, as having a person who’s been in your shoes to guide you saves you a lot of time and mistakes.
Moreover, the company’s flat organizational structure and healthy work environment encourage interns to prove themselves. I freely offered ideas to my more experienced colleagues and always felt supported and appreciated for my contribution to the project.
Last but not least, those interns who successfully manage tasks are more than likely to get their first job offer after the internship graduation.
