Noction releases IRP version 3.1 featuring the new Failover system
Noction is pleased to announce the release of Intelligent Routing Platform 3.1. The new product version features the availability of a Failover system that backs up the main IRP platform in case of operation failure. Such failures are not likely to occur and in the typical scenario IRP simply withdraws its announcements and the routing decisions are handed back to BGP. However, you would certainly like to keep the optimized routes active even in such emergency situations, so that the performance of your network is not affected. The new Failover feature allows just that. It is based on a master-slave configuration and ensures optimization announcements are preserved even in case of node failure.
Beside this major addition we have improved the platform’s frontend which is now considerably faster. We have also extended the API and conducted a series of bug fixes.
